PhD Candidate

Cherise is a MSc Agric graduate specializing in Animal Sciences. She is embarking on her PhD in Animal Sciences in 2025, where she will be evaluating historical data to establish trends and problem areas in the South African dairy sector. With her background in pasture based dairy systems, she is currently part of the DLF Africa Team, advising farmers on seed selection for optimum dairy production. Her passion for research, animals, and agriculture drives her commitment to addressing challenges in the dairy farming sector and the broader livestock value chain in South Africa.
